I’ve played every Scribblenauts title to date, from Nintendo DS to iOS, and I can safely say that Scribblenauts Unlimited is definitely the very best game of the series thus far. Being an immensely popular series in Nintendo’s legendary arsenal of games, it’s no wonder that Unlimited earned its place as a solid Wii U launch title. I am one of the few Co-Optimus staff members to dive headfirst into the launch lineup, so to test the co-op capabilities of the Wii U first hand, I chose Scribblenauts Unlimited as my first co-op adventure.

Watch out for this charming puzzler when it writes its way onto the Wii U later this year.Late last year, the Wii U had arrived in full force, bringing a wide variety of games to longtime Nintendo fans or newcomers to initiate them into their next generation console. While I’m all for competitive gaming and violent co-op, I really dig this friendly and harmless multiplayer direction that Scribblenauts Unlimited is going in. Not only is that awesome because we get to see an endearing female character (sporting a neat hat of her own), but players will get to team up to make some nifty creations together. In addition to the story elements, Scribblenauts Unlimited will also include co-op play. I’ve been wondering how the little guy can conjure up dragons, jetpacks, and even the mighty Cthulhu, so I look forward to seeing how the plot will unfold. In addition to more levels and more words to turn into actual in-game things, Scribblenauts Unlimited will tell the story of rooster hat-wearing protagonist Maxwell’s magical notebook.

It looks like the dev definitely has some cool things planned for the series with the next installment. So when Scribblenauts Unlimited was officially unveiled at this year’s E3, I was immediately interested in seeing how 5th Cell would pitch some more ideas for gamers to create, experiment, and imagine. I’ve been a Scribblenauts fan since day one, and I’ve got a rooster hat to prove it.

The game just looks so adorable, the music is really cute, and the gameplay is refreshing. Something that has always drawn me to developer 5th Cell’s Scribblenauts series is its undeniable charm.
